The Diocese of Kansas City ~ St. Joseph proudly celebrates Catholic education in 40 schools serving more than 12,000 students from early childhood through high school.
While we take understandable pride in the academic excellence of our schools, it is their Catholic identity and the commitment of Catholic families to a Catholic education which underscores our pride and success.
Who We Are
For over 179 years, our schools have served communities across the Diocese.
Who We Serve
Diverse cultural, ethnic and racial backgrounds are represented in Catholic schools. With 10% of current students belonging to other faith communities, students learn an awareness of and appreciation for the beliefs of others.
What We Contribute
The entire Catholic community takes pride in our schools’ commitment to educating about others’ needs. Although shelters, food pantries and the infirm benefit from such service, the true beneficiaries are our students.
What We Do Best
Catholic schools provide comprehensive programs. As lifelong learners, nearly half of our teachers hold advanced degrees.
Extraordinary teachers provide extraordinary education and prepare students for next level success.
An academically excellent school arms children to succeed and live authentically in today’s world.
- challenge each child to succeed
- provide each student with skills to be productive
- build communities of learners dedicated to excellence
