Brian’s Fund Scholarships
Brian’s Fund was established to get 8th grade students to start thinking and having discussions about how to prevent substance abuse and addiction, in any form, within their families and among their friends. This fund provides two $2,500 scholarships a year. One to a male and one to a female student, who will be attending a local Catholic high school. The two winners for 2018 scholarships attended Holy Cross and St. Elizabeth’s. Brian’s Fund is preparing to accept applications for their third year. Below you will find the links to the Brian’s fund Facebook page and Website. Please feel free to reach out to Steven Hutto at 816-695-8374 for more information.
Pray It Forward Prayers
Thank you so much to you and your students for all of the wonderful prayers. The Catholic Schools Office has chosen their top 5 and submitted them for a decision by Bishop Johnston for the winning prayer. We will announce the winning prayer next week! The school that submitted the winning prayer will receive a 6.5 hour reduction in instructional hours. Be watching each week as we showcase the prayers in our Weekly Prayer Intentions.

|WEEKLY PRAYER INTENTIONS|
* Please keep Andrea Harris and her family in your prayers. Andrea’s grandmother has passed away.
* That the Mutually Shared Vision for our diocese being developed by our bishop and his Visioning Team will be received as a call for all of us to “Take courage and get up” because “Jesus is calling” each one of us to seek him and receive salvation. We pray.
*O Heavenly Father, give us wisdom and hope as we work to strengthen and prosper Catholic Education in our Diocese. May our Catholic schools help parents to form their children in a relationship of faith, hope and love with and in Jesus Christ. Make our Catholic schools places where students grow in knowledge, wisdom, integrity and virtue.
