Congratulations to St. Andrew the Apostle School

On Monday January 14, 2019 at a special all school assembly, Dr. Peters announced to St. Andrews School that one of their students wrote the winning prayer in our Pray It Forward contest. The 8th grade student who wrote the winning prayer is Frances Shields. As the winning school, St. Andrews will take a day off on April 23, 2019. Congratulations to Frances Shields and St. Andrew School.  Here is Frances’ winning prayer:

Dear Jesus, There is joy in praising, joy
in loving, joy in serving, joy in caring, joy in
sharing. As we reflect and celebrate our
faith this week, may we come to serve, not
only ourselves, but each other and most
importantly God the Father. Help us to find
the joy that comes through praising,
serving, caring, and giving as we live our
lives in you, Amen.

Benchmark Assessment Pilot Testing Window Opens NEXT Week!

Friends, its here! As a reminder, all 3rd-8th grade math classes should take the pilot of the benchmark assessment next week. Please emphasize to your teachers that these assessments are not perfect but they are strong. I am 100% aware that revisions need to happen after the assessments are given. I want to be transparent with you and your staff. We need to be realistic and understand that there is human error and I will need everyone’s help to finalize the assessments. Thank you for your patience and understanding as I continue to work through this process. As always, email me (amy.hogan@outlook.com) with any questions. To those who have already, thanks for reaching out for clarification. I am looking forward to our pilot round!

Here is the information letter from Amy regarding the Benchmark Assessments which includes the link to the Google folder where you can find the assessments.

Go Chiefs! ~Amy

Emmaus Leadership Series

Each year the Barbara and Patrick Roche Center for Catholic Education out of Boston College solicits participants for their Emmaus Leadership Series. Jodie Maddox, Darin Pollard, and Ann Wright have been participants this year. They would be very interested in sharing their experience, I am sure. Kristin Meiley, the director of Professional Development, will host a 30-minute webinar conversation at 1:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, January 24, 2019 for anyone interested in the Emmaus Series. Please register for the webinar at emmausseries.org. Dan encourages you to at least consider this program. The feedback is very positive.

Pray It Forward Campaign

Below you will find links to help spread the word about our Pray It Forward Campaign for Catholic Schools Week.
